RHS student named merit scholar semi-finalist

l Tommy Marchetti, a senior at Rusk High School, was recently named a National Merit Scholar semi-finalist. Mr. Marchetti will be a competitor in the finalist round, which could qualify him for a National Merit Scholarship. Those announcements will be made next spring. The National Merit Scholarship qualifiers are based on the number of students who take the exam each year. Semi-finalists generally score in the 96th percentile or above of students taking the test.
