Library gets grant

Singletary Memorial Library was the recent recipient of a software grant from Gateway to American Opportunities, the Circle of 10 and Dollar General. From left are Rusk Councilman Kris Morgan, Circle of 10 representatives Mary Davenport and Peggy Lustig, Library Director Amy Derrington and Rusk City Manager Mike Murray. Software received included the Rosetta Stone, English version and a new copy of Webster's Picture Dictionary. "We're so pleased to be able to partner with the library," Ms. Lustig said. "This software will allow both the library's literacy and GED programs to better serve its non-English speaking students."
