Band trophies were presented to the Rusk ISD board Monday night by Drum Majors Amanda Gilchrest and Elizabeth Cavazoz; and Band Director Mike Miller. The Eagle Band recently won a first division marching contest and sweepstakes award at UIL competition. Also, the band placed 13th in regional competition.
