The Cherokee County Special Education Cooperative received one of five Visual Learning Tech Grants recently awarded in the United States. The other four schools receiving the grant funds were Shoreline School District, Washington; Akron Public Schools, Ohio; District of Columbia Public Schools, D.C. and Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Florida. The Cooperative will receive 10 VizZie licenses for use by teachers and other professionals. Teachers will receive access through licenses to use their web-based software. If the cooperative needs more than 10, access to a 1:1 matching grant will be provided. From left are Valerie Murray, Rob McNeely of Monarch Teaching Technologies, Tiffany Wilbourn and Karen Hendley.
