Ready to deliver incentive checks to teachers and staff are from left Dr. Anthony Holcomb, Britt Patterson, Tracy Session, Rodney Hugghins, Dana Young, Frances Long and Dr. Jim Largent, superintendent. Eleven teachers received $2,050; 15 teachers, $2,000; and 11, $1,950. Teachers received $500 each for two exemplary campuses and $250 for a recognized campus. Rusk's primary-elementary schools were combined as one campus. Both they and the intermediate school received exemplary status and the high school, recognized status. Teachers also received $500 for perfect attendance; $450 for missing one day and $400 for missing two days. The incentives were given to current teachers who had taught in Rusk last year. Administrative personnel, aides, cafeteria workers and bus drivers all received incentives of lesser amounts.
