l Carlos Dominguez, a fifth grader, recently served as Principal of the Day at Rusk Intermediate School. Fifth graders won in their "Canned the Principal for the Good Samaritan Food Drive" after competing with fourth graders, who "Canned the Counselor." All fifth grade students were entered into a drawing to be "Principal of the Day." Carlos was chosen, and spent a day helping Principal Carlene Clayton, running errands and experiencing the daily life of a principal. Mrs. Clayton said, "Carlos made an excellent principal for the day. He was very helpful, and I enjoyed spending time with him."
