A team of individuals, along with Jeff Camp of Trinity Mother Frances Hospital Systems, met recently to plan the Cherokee County Friend to Friend event scheduled for August 2011. The purpose of the Friend to Friend Staying Well Together Program is to increase the number of women 40 years old and over who meet the American Cancer Society's guidelines for breast and cervical cancer screening so these cancers are detected early, when they are most curable.
