Sara Massingill's second grade class at Rusk Elementary received a United States flag that was flown over the skies of Iraq and Afghanistan on Feb. 14- 15 during two combat missions while aboard an E-8C JSTAR aircraft in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Staff Sgt. Eric L. Williams, USAF, sent the flag along with a certificate in appreciation of Valentine Day cards sent to him during his recent deployment by the students. The cards were shared with Staff Sgt. Williams fellow E-8C Crew chiefs during the Valentine holiday. Staff Sgt. Williams' nephew, Elijah Russell, is a second grade student in Mrs. Massingill's class.
