School and community leaders turn dirt at a ground breaking Aug. 15 at East Side School at 711 Fort Worth St. in Jacksonville. Another ground breaking was held Aug. 16 at Joe Wright Elementary School, corner of Highway 175 and Pineda St. The two new elementary schools are a part of the $49.865 bond package passed by Jacksonville ISD voters Nov. 2, 2010.
