Estrella Guzman, daughter of Miguel and Graciela Guzman of Sulphur Springs was crowned Jacksonville College Homecoming Queen 2012 Feb. 18. Estrella, or "Star" as she is known to her friends, is a graduate of Sulphur Springs High School and is pursuing an Associate of Science degree at Jacksonville College. She is a member of the college choir, Missions Team, and the Student Government Association. As the leader of the praise band, she plays guitar and sings regularly in chapel services.
