The Cherokee County Historical Commission will host Lurlene Bowden for a book signing from noon-2 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at their office, across from the Rusk Post Office. Mrs. Bowden will autograph her newest book, "Old Good Campfire Cookin Recipes." Mrs. Bowden is seated. From left are Jim Cromwell, Kevin Stingley, Chair Elizabeth McCutchen, Mavis Wallace, Terry Guinn, John Thomason, Shelley Cleaver, Evelyn Ezell, Dr. Richard Hackney and Dr. Deborah Burkett. Outlaw cookies and Billy the Kid punch taken from recipes in the book will be served.
