The Alto Middle School raised more than $2,000 to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. For three weeks students contributed spare change to save the lives of people touched by blood cancer. The winning class, Lauren Calloway's science students, raised $492.24. Class members were treated to a pasta lunch from Olive Garden courtesy of the society.
