$1,500 nursing school stipends

Kierra Hart and Kristi Hallmark, both Alto graduating seniors, have received $1,500 stipends from the Texas Area Health Education Center East Piney Woods Region to help further their goals of becoming health career professionals. Both Miss Hart and Miss Hallmark plan to study nursing at Stephen F. Austin State University. Making the presentation to the students were Mavis Yarbrough and Mark Scott, regional representatives of the AHEC East Piney Woods. From left are Ms. Yarbrough, Miss Hart, Mr. Scott and Miss Hallmark.
