Cherokee County Electric Cooperative Association (CCECA) honored their 2012 scholarship recipients with a banquet May 22 at the cooperative's community room in Rusk. Twenty-six graduating high school seniors or current college students received a $1,000 scholarship from the Cooperative's Unclaimed Property Scholarship Fund. CCECA has awarded scholarships each year since 2003 to children of cooperative members. Recipients attending were in front from left Maegan Knuckles, Joshua Renfro and Kami Martin; second row, Caylee Collins, Krystal Peterson, Hannah Frossard, Jennifer Satterwhite, Xochitl Castro and Amber Dowdy; third row, Emily Costlow, Jacqulynn Peterson, Gena Allen, Alexa Faraimo, Judith Melton and Alyssa Marks; fourth row, Taylor Parker and Luke Campbell. Recipients not attending were Heather Adams, Cheyenne Cover, Summer English, Priscilla Huerta, Meredith Huse, Emily Jones, Michael Ritchey, Kaylee Rogers and Melany Zellers.
