The Booker T. Washington Alumni Association sponsored a free Thanksgiving dinner Nov. 17 at the B.T.W. Community Center. Approximately 140 persons were served. Rosie Skinner asked the blessing. Mary Whitaker thought the idea of having a free Thanksgiving dinner was a way of giving back to the community. Cooks and servers for the dinner are from left, Joyce Simmons, Maye Calhoun, Ms. Whitaker, Ms. Skinner, Tracey Verdell, Yvonne Hudson, Rachel Coutee, Silver L. Thomas and Shedrian Morgan.
