Carvings honor education

k John Birkelbach dedicated his wood carving honoring education Feb. 14 at the Rusk ISD administration office. The carving is entitled "Playing School with Big Sister 'Jane' and Little brother 'Dick.'" It shows a comparison between the old way vs. the new way of teaching and learning. The girl has a book and the boy a laptop computer.
