Alma Petty Broach and Ira Vee Williams Arnold were both born and grew up in the Brazola community. They finished their senior year at Wells High School. They still remain best friends although one lives in Forest and the other at Rusk. They celebrated their 88th birthdays this year, Mrs. Arnold on Jan. 1 and Mrs. Broach on Feb. 4.
