Bringing home’ to the holidays

Students from Stephen F. Austin State University's Richard and Lucille DeWitt School of Nursing recently hosted a birthday celebration for more than 200 patients at Rusk State Hospital. The students, who are enrolled in a psychiatric nursing class this semester, provided gifts for every patient with a birthday that month, as well as refreshments for all of the patients who gathered for the celebration. Nursing students will provide two birthday celebrations annually.
