Siblings John, Sarah and Kara Wofford collected 619 pound of non-perishable food items in their 4-H food drive held on Oct. 12. Monetary donations were used to purchase additional canned goods. The non-perishable food items were donated to "Joseph's Pantry" at East Side Missionary Baptist Church in Jacksonville. The food will be used to help needy families in Cherokee County during the holidays. The food drive was held at Brookshire Bros. in Rusk. A Honeywell Monitoring System was provided by Grace Visiting Nurses in Jacksonville to weigh the food donations with a digital scale. The Woffords are members of Footbridge 4-H Club.
