Three-year-old Lily Fussell wanted to send a gift to a little girl somewhere on the other side of the world so she and her mom, Julie, brought a gift to their church Central Baptist Church's Operation Christmas Child shoe box project by Samaritan Purse last week. Her shoe box was one of the last to be dropped off before shipping them Nov. 25. The gifts will travel to one of the more than 100 countries where Samaritan's Purse are given. Central Baptist collected 886 gift boxes which were taken to Athens and loaded on the truck to North Carolina, the shipping point. At right is B.J. Illsley, a volunteer from the church and standing is Steve Edwards, project coordinator.
