Former school board trustees from past decades were recognized and honored during the JISD monthly meeting on Monday. Former members present (not in order) were Dr. Charles Creed, Ray Bell, Frank Wagner, Jack Traylor, David Cyril, Dr. Michael Banks, Betty Ewalt Taylor, Dr. Scott Sands, Dick Stone, Preston Meador, Matt Montgomery, Pat McCown, Jim Tarrant Jr., Ann Chandler, Dr. Larry Folden, Al Chavira, Sean McRight, Dale Jamerson, Todd Travis, Jeff Horton, Dean Dublin, James Houser, Randy Mc- Cown, Blaine Verhelle and Jimmy Brown. Mrs. Ewalt Taylor (front and center) holds the distinction of being the first and only female board president.
