Quick Hits: Rusk softball alums in national spotlight

Rusk natives and East Texas Baptist University juniors Maranda (left) and Mallory (right) Westbrook helped lead the Tigers to the NCAA Division III Softball Championships, held Thursday-Tuesday. The Tigers finished 1-2 in the tournament. The twins combined for 59 hits, 56 runs scored, 24 RBIs, eight doubles, 21 steals, 352 putouts and 91 assists on the season for the sixth-ranked Tigers (45-10).
