Karla Panuco, employed by All Smiles for more than 12 years, was the invited guest of Rotarian, Robert Perry for the Aug. 27 meeting in Jacksonville. Ms. Panuco had discussion on periodontal disease. This "gum disease" can damage not only the gums and bone, but also the tissues that surround the teeth. This could cause loss of teeth and can also be linked to other health conditions including heart disease. Good oral hygiene is essential to preventing and treating this disease, said Ms. Panuco. Visiting with Ms. Panuco and Mr. Perry are dentists Dr. Charles Creed, left and Dr. Michael Banks.
