Hay sale proceeds split

Following the annual hay show and sale October 2014, two checks for $3,093.21 were presented Jan. 7. One-half of the proceeds were given to the Cherokee Scholarship Fund and the other half was split between the Cherokee County Soil & Water Conservation and Cherokee County Exposition Center. Recipients of the awards and members of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce's Agri-Business Committee (from left) are Randy Gorham, Byron Underwood, Charles Dickerson, Debbie Kerzee, Wayne Berry, exposition center; David Butler, Randy Low, Roland Adams and Bruce Mehlenbacher. The top 30 hay samples were auctioned to raise funds for the youth in Cherokee County.
