Lesson plan for retirement

A retirement reception honoring Dr. Joe Wardell, Jacksonville ISD superintendent, was held at the administration office Monday afternoon. Staff members presented him with a poster size card designed as a "retirement lesson plan." The plan calls for feeding the cows, playing with grandchildren and travel and "no staff meetings, stress, evaluations, bus duty, snow days and angry calls." He said that playing with grandkids is a high priority.
