l Jim Wilson, interpreter and educator at the Confederate Reunion Grounds State Historic Site in Mexia, recently toured Rusk with Cherokee County Historical Commission chair Dr. Deborah Burkett. Mr. Wilson and Dr. Burkett discussed several historical landmarks and issues across the county, including the Confederate Statue outside the Cherokee County Courthouse. "Jim had several useful suggestions about several issues we're working on in Cherokee County and I appreciate his input," Dr. Burkett said.
