Three members of the Jacksonville ISD UIL Academic team placed at the Whitehouse Practice meet, held Jan. 23. From left are Michelle Raissi, who placed first in News Writing, third in Headline Writing and fifth in Editorial Writing; Julianna Travis, who placed sixth in Feature Writing; Rebecca Morris, who placed fifth in both News Writing and Feature Writing; Justin Crowe, who placed first in Current Events, first in Junior Science and fourth in Science; and Swanson Traylor, who placed fourth in both Current Events and Literary Criticism.
