At left, Amy Derrington unpacks the official Texas Historical Marker for the Gallatin School, which was dedicated May 29 in Gallatin. At right, one of 123 pink granite markers placed approximately every five miles on State Highway 21, El Camino Real, is shown. The markers were placed along the highway between 1915-18.
