Rusk incoming freshman Kolt Dement (center) recently won the bareback steer riding competition and finished third in the state in chute dogging at the State Finals Rodeo May 23-28 in Gonzales. Kolt won eight buckles, a saddle pad and a saddle and competed in four events.
