Three generations of Lions were recently honored by the Alto Lions Club during officer installation ceremonies. Larry Griffith, left, received the distinguished Lion of the Year award; his son, Kyle was installed as club president; and his dad, Oliver, received the Melvin Jones Fellowship, the highest award that can be awarded by a club. Oliver Griffith has been in the Alto Lions Club since 1965 and was named its only life member in 2003. Making the presentation to Oliver Griffith is Past District Gov. David Middleton of Alto and immediate Past District Gov. Dr. Bonita Lowrie from Garrison.
