Boom 2nd at state, falls to Troup ColdPlay in finals

The Rusk Boom finished second at the state midget girls' softball tournament last week in Brownwood. Members of the Boom are Kendale Barker, Megan Beene, McKenna Driver, Tatum Goff, Molleigh Issacs, Gracie Jackson, Harley Odell, Macey Perry, Sydnee Seeton, Liliana Session, Matalyn Swinford, Jillian West and Madison Wilbanks. Coaches are Jereme Hubbard, Jamie Beene and Josh West. Not pictured are players Annie Cox and Rachel Walley.
