Local art teacher Lurlene Bowden guides her summer children's art students through the intricacies of painting with watercolors recently during a class held at the Rusk Civic Center, 555 Euclid St. in Rusk. Mrs. Bowden will hold a fall children's art class, featuring beginning drawing and watercolor/acrylic basics, from 4-6 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, starting Aug. 29, at the civic center.
