PHOTOS: TERRIE GONZALEZ        Club entries at the livestock show included both marigolds and tomato plants, which were judged together. Cherokee County Extension agent said that marigolds act as a "trap crop" to draw insects to them first. Spider mites, in particular, will choose marigolds over tomatoes. The Alto FFA Chapter won the tomato-marigold entry.
