Following a Rotary program in which Juval Galera, pastor of a Baptist Church in Cebu, Philippines, lamented on the expensive prices of even the most common of medications in his small island, Rusk Rotary Club purchased flight-allowable over-the-counter medications for Pastor Juval to take back to the Philippines. They will be distributed, free of charge, to the indigent residents of Cebu and a neighboring island. Pastor Galera and his wife, Zenny, visit Eastside Baptist Church in Rusk annually. He has named his Filipino church, Eastside Baptist Church.
