BBB warns of phishing scheme

l E-mails like the one received by the Cherokeean Herald at left are being blanketed to e-mail accounts throughout East Texas. The e-mail message asks recipients to click on a link and update their identities because of the recent transfer of Franklin Bank to Prosperity bank. The e-mail looks legitimate, but it is part of an elaborate "phishing scheme" to steal users' identities. Anyone who receives this or a similar e-mail is encouraged to delete it.
