David Dickerson from Next Step Coalition was speaker at the April 2 Jacksonville Rotary Club meeting. He was invited to speak by Bruce Mehlenbacher. Mr. Dickerson has returned to East Texas after having worked with the homeless in the Houston area. The mission of Next Step is to build safe and vibrant communities by providing services pertaining to education, training, counseling and mentoring: encouraging individuals and families to lead happy, healthy and productive lives. Through his work with Next Step Community Solutions Mr. Dickerson hopes to help advance creative efforts in the prevention of youth alcohol and drug abuse.
