Texas A&M produces more armed force officers than any other institution in the nation except military academies

 COLLEGE STATION, Oct. 19, 2011 — More young men and women are choosing to be in the Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets this fall than at any time in the past 14 years, with current strength standing at 2,128. This is largely attributable to the largest freshman class since 1987.
