Commissioners question county audit from 2009

Buz Parrish reappointed to ACCESS board despite 1 dissenting vote

Cherokee County commissioners questioned Jeff Geese of Henry & Peters accounting firm of Tyler concerning the firm’s county audit for the year ending Sept. 30, 2009. The county is required to let its budget reflect 1/30 of the cost of the employee health insurance each year. This would be $90,000 this year. The law only requires that this cost be reflected in the budget.
