TSR local appreciation fares in February

TSR will offer discounted local appreciation fares of $10 per person for regular train excursions for residents of Anderson, Angelina, Cherokee, Freestone, Henderson, Houston, Leon, Nacogdoches, Navarro, Rusk and Smith counties.

Rides depart from the Palestine Depot Feb. 6, 13-14, 20 and 27.

Upgrades will be available for climate controlled seating.

The rate is valid for Peanuts: The Valentine Express rides on Feb. 13-14 but is not valid for the Valentine’s Dinner Train on Feb. 14.

Tickets will also be sold at the window on the date of each ride based on availability and ID with proof of address will be required.

Box lunches are available to purchase at the time of reservation.

“Local appreciation rides offer a chance for residents in our surrounding counties to ride the train at a discounted price,” said TSR marketing manager Lori Pennington.

“This is something we started in 2007 and we want to continue the tradition every year.”
