Spelling winners

Jacksonville Independent School District Spelling Bee winners have been announced. Trophies were awarded to the top five finalists and one alternate. Winners are Presley Brown, first place; Jorge Arredondo, second place; Janzen Terry, third place; Jordan Terry, fourth place; Jeremy McAnnally, fifth place; and alternate, Christian Roper. The winners will compete in the upcoming Cherokee County Spelling Bee Feb. 22 at Rusk Middle School.
