AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Historical Commission (THC) is now accepting applications from small, urban and recertified communities for participation in the Texas Main Street Program. Applications are available on the THC web site at www.thc.state.tx.us. Completed applications are due by Friday, July 30, 2010. More ... For two days in March, representatives from the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) will be setting up shop inside the Jacksonville Public Library to provide local residents with free tax preparation aid.
