For many of us, Thanksgiving brings to mind football, turkey, stuffing and gathering with family and friends. Thanksgiving also is a time to give thanks for the harvest and the farmers and ranchers who put food on our tables. More ... My husband and I traveled to Rusk last Saturday night from Alto to dinner and the Patsy Cline show at the Rusk Hotel. We had a wonderful time. The food was good, and the entertainment was great. I can’t remember when I have enjoyed myself more. How fabulous it was to be able to have a lovely evening out and not have to travel hours to get there. More ... I wish that Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst could drive around the downtown square in Rusk with me. I would like to show him the Christmas lights after dark, and let him see the sparkle and promise of the city. More ...
