Jay and Jennifer Brashear of Rusk announce the birth of their son, Riley Cade Brashear at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11. He weighed nine pounds and one ounce and was 20 inches long. Teachers receive attendance bonuses
Santa arrived early for Rusk ISD teachers. Each teacher, who taught in the district last year, received a $1,000 bonus for the two campuses rated as “exemplary” by the Texas Education Agency. An additional $300 bonus was given by the school district as a Christmas bonus. Thirty teachers divided a $12,450 bonus based on their attendance records. More...
