2 plan to run for House

State Rep. Hopson will run on Republican ticket; Jacksonville dentist will announce Monday

Five-term state Rep. Chuck Hopson announced Friday morning that he will change party affiliations and run on the Republican ticket in the 2010 election. Within five hours, an e-mail press statement was issued by Dr. Michael Banks, a Jacksonville dentist, who said he is weighing his options to run against Mr. Hopson in the Republican primary.
