Alto crushes Bearkats, set for finale against Cayuga
      CUSHING – And now, it’s time for the main event. The Alto Yellowjackets took care of business in their next to last district game of the year, defeating the Cushing Bearkats, 40-0, to set up the biggest game in District 20-1A this year – the de facto district championship game against the Cayuga Wildcats.

      RUSK – Something seemed off about last Friday night’s game between Rusk and Center. It started an hour before kickoff when the scoreboard wouldn’t work. Although the play clocks on both ends of the stadium worked, the scoreboard never did.

Jones, Black rush past Henderson in OT
Win places Indians in tie for district title
      HENDERSON – Justin Jones rushed for 47 yards and four touchdowns, but his biggest run of the night was his shortest. Jones made good a gamble by Jacksonville head coach Steve Wells to go for two in the second overtime to win a seesaw District 14-4A battle, 56-55 in double overtime between the Indians and their oldest rival, the Henderson Lions.
