TSR Authority meets Oct. 28 in Palestine
2 previous October sessions held for unresolved issues
      The Texas State Railroad Authority met Oct. 14 in Rusk for the second time this month to discuss some of the unresolved issues of a recently negotiated contract with Schrickel, Rollins and Associates. The firm was low bidder for a specific service creating a long range master plan. After discussion, the board approved Chairman Steve Presley’s suggestion to meet again at 9 a.m. Oct.

New Life Drama group will visit Rusk Oct. 25
      The New Life Drama Company will perform at 6 p.m. Oct. 25 at Grace Fellowship in Rusk. This team will minister through life-situation dramas and skits. They communicate their message in a way that is both humorous and serious. The event is free and open to all. A love offering will be received. The team is based out of Cleveland, Tenn. and consists of six young adults.

      Plano man killed in onevehicle wreck Monday A single vehicle accident took the life of a Plano man around 8:06 a.m. Monday. The accident occurred on a private road, four miles south of Alto off U.S. Highway 69. Three men in a 2010 Dodge pickup got off work at 5:30 a.m. and were drinking and driving around the road leading to a drilling rig.
