Autism Treatment and Learning Center launched in Tyler
     Initially, the center will have a capacity of 10 children but will expand to meet the needs of the community, said Alison Sterken, Division Director for Autism Services.

      Many thanks to Mr. Edsel, Shelley Cleaver, for escorting us around Cherokee County and taking us to the Tomato Festival in Jacksonville. After we left you, we went to San Antonio and stayed with an old family friend, but it wasn’t half as much fun as Jacksonville.

False statement made about Bush 41’s presidential speech
      In the Fast Forward column in the Sept. 9 issue of the Cherokeean Herald titled, “Dr. Seuss Got It Right,” I found a false statement: “There is a precedent for past Presidents to speak to mass audiences of school children. Bush 41 delivered a similar speech in October 1991 without a hint of opposition. Why was it okay then and not okay now?”
