      RUSK - Games don’t always have to look pretty in order to be beautiful. Take last Friday’s Homecoming game between Rusk and Fairfield. Rains made the field a slick, muddy mess. Both teams made mistakes that gave the opponent opportunities. Players were unable to get traction, finding themselves slipping before they could gain momentum.

Jackets use running game to hold off Frankston, 18-13

      In a game that saw what amounts to a torrential downpour, the Alto Yellowjackets kept their heads above water. A frantic fourth quarter that started with Alto down one point ended with the Jackets winning by five, 18-13, over the Frankston Indians. Alto’s record improves to 3-1 while the Indians fall to 2-2.
