THIS WEEK Newspaper will close July 3 The Cherokeean Herald office, located at 618 N. Main St. in Rusk, will close at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day. The newspaper will resume normal office hours on July 6. News and advertising deadline will remain on Monday, July 6 at 3 p.m. TxDOT to work on FM 752 next Monday The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will remove two sets of old rail line on FM 752 in Rusk on Monday, July 6. Crews will remove the rail lines and then patch the holes on the roadway. "The work will start on Monday and should take about three days," said Larry Krantz, public information officer for the Tyler district of TxDOT. "FM 752 will be closed to all traffic between First Street and FM 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m." Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes while work is in progress. |
