      Track athletes around the area have hit their stride, and nowhere was that more evident than in Center last weekend. At the Center Roughrider Relays, Cherokee County was well represented as a team gold and two team silvers were brought back to Rusk and Jacksonville.

Cherokee County Electric Co-Op to host RFL Fishing Tournament
      The Cherokee County Electric Co-Op will host a bass fishing tournament benefitting Relay for Life at Lake Jacksonville on Saturday, March 28 from 7:30 a.m.-noon. Registration will be at the lake's concession stand boat dock beginning at 6 a.m. and all fish must be weighed in by noon.
